Weekly Writing Challenge: Layers

The folks over at Daily Post want Layers this week and although it is similar to the lead post, I just love the patterns that this curly kale makes.

When I was a girl, my mother would cook a big pan of it, mix a white sauce into it then serve it with a poached egg and grated strong cheese. Yummy!
