It is fascinating with so many swirls , lines, knooks and cronies. What stories it could tell.

I think she meant it in the Latin sense, as in “having passed”. Yeah. Let’s go with that.
I like all that marbling effect. I guess this is a hardwood tree? You don’t have to answer. I wonder if it is because it’s so big, and because of the polished look on the outside from the weather and from being bark-less. 😮
