Weekly Photo Challenge: Renewal

The theme of renewal can take you in many directions as the varied posts over at Daily Press show

My choice is to share the football match I attended the day before Remembrance Day. At first my thoughts were for those supporters and their team who renew their commitment to each other every week.

However, to mark the following day, a minutes silence was held. The match was against Plymouth and the band of HMS Drake that had been entertaining us, played the last post and a huge poppy was displayed across one side of the ground.

The silence was observed in a very moving way. It was a minute during which you could ‘hear’ the silence such was the observation by each member of the crowd.

What better example of ‘Renewal’?
