Weekly Photo Challenge: Letters
OK! Hands up if you LOVE wandering around a shop that sells pens, pencils, books, paper, folders files……?
I do and I could spend a fortune. Well those folks over at the Daily Post have set ‘Letters’ as the theme for this week’s photo theme. That meant I had to seek them out so here are few.
I got to thinking about letters and their importance when I saw this pencil case.
How amazing that with one letter change, the meaning is completely different. So good that this stationery has an ‘E’ in it which goes with envelopes which is how I remember which version is which.
What strategies do you use to combat the oddities of the English language?
Nice post for this challenge… 🙂
E for envelope makes a lot of sense. I was taught to remember it by ‘e for email’ which for me makes no sense as you don’t use stationery to write an email!
I ADORE stationery. It’s the one sadness of all the amazing technology in my life. I barely get to use my favourite pads and pens.
I before e except after c!
I love stationery shops 🙂
I know what you mean about certain words. Especially with stationery! I used to get it mixed up all the time (stationary) until I realized that papER and stationERy. Silly but it works for me!
Really lovely. I have to keep away from stationery. Why is it so tempting?
