Thoughts
Thankfully, Saturday Centus has come back to reality this week with just a normal prompt. If you remember, we have 100 words to add to the prompt to make a creative piece. This is the brain child of wonderful Jenny Matlock. When you’ve read mine, go over & read the others. You’ll find they are all different!

‘Where?’
‘Over there’, I said waving my arm aimlessly towards the backdrop. ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’.
‘We need to get a move on if the curtain is going to go up on time’, I shouted trying to get some sense of urgency without bullying. After all, we were all volunteers, giving up our precious time.
It was always manic at this point before a performance. Suddenly everything seemed to need doing at once & people started to act like prima donnas.
Maybe that wasn’t a fair thought? The song title came back – umm- yes. Where would I be if I took that journey?
Cool – a totally different take on the prompt. I love that! Well done!
What a great different vision your writing took us on for this prompt.
I love that you took it literally.
Really awesome.
Thank you for linking.
Backstage before a production is always pure pandemonium…especially with non-professionals! I was right there with you, girl!
I just posted my contribution for the week. Hope you enjoy me at my blog!

It’s the last sentence that really gets you. It’s like a “…” left for each reader to fill in themselves.
That’s what I hoped you’d do! So, where would it be?
Backstage drama and frustration! I love this post!
Thanks……….cj
You just want to go Grrr for her don’t you! Thanks for popping by!
What a great story! I loved the original take on this. You painted a very real picture of backstage! Well done!
I’ve been in that situation a number of times! Thanks for your kind comments!
My niece would be able to relate to this in a heartbeat! Great take on the prompt.
Is she in Am Dram?
This was a very creative use of the prompt. I liked it a lot. Great job.
Aw! Thanks!
Good idea…part of the set!
Nice take on this one.
=)
Many thanks & great to see you here!
Nice! Really clever. I did a take on Oz also, but from a different point of view.
Thank you!
There are times indeed where it would be nice to see where the rainbow led. You captured the frenetic energy of backstage beautifully. Nicely done, and a very clever use of the prompt!
Thank you! I was hoping not to do the ‘Oz’ bit but found it too hard!
Rainbow as stage prop…very creative take on the prompt…I like it…Peace and blessings
Thank you! Found this onw quite hard!
