Miracles happen!
It may be Christmas but Saturday Centus does not stop! As usual there is a propmt (in blue) & 100 additional words to make a little creative piece.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘But who can we get to give all these gifts out? The children will recognize any of us even in that red Santa suit.’
‘Does it matter. Surely they don’t still believe in Father Christmas! There are loads of them on the high Street.’
Oh for goodness sake. Where’ your Christmas spirit. Don’t you wish you still believed in that funny little man, visiting YOU?’
Suddenly there was a crash and the white-bearded fat man rolled through the church doors. They turned & looked at each other. Was this an answer?
‘I know we’re not on 34th Street but surely we can have a miracle – yes?
What a brilliant post to read on this chilly January 1st!
Julia, I really love your writing. Each week I come here and each week I am surprised and captivated.
You are such an excellent word crafter! You help make this meme wonderful.
Sending you warm wishes for a 2011 filled with discovery, adventure and small joys!
Thank you for linking.
Hoping you & yours have a great 2011 too Jenny!
Why not?
=D
I’m smiling!
I was wondering how many of us would connect just this Centus to that wonderful film from 1947.
I set my text on Manhattan and let in connect pretty close to the film. But your text takes up questions that I had in my real life=offline life. I was thinking about writing a post about them because I could not fit them into a Saturday Centus.
Nicely done.
Happy New Year!
