Paris – Surprise!
Anyone who pops in here will know that I love holidays. We are happy discovering all the wonders of this great country and we are also excited when we get to go abroad.
I am very excited about an up and coming trip to New York! (New York, New York )
Well as you can imagine, I thought my holidays for the year were planned and set BUT I have had a great surprise. I am having one of those ‘0’ birthdays this year and my darling husband is going to take me to Paris!!!
It is one of my favourite cities in the whole world (Ok, I haven’t been to many but …) I love it and my favourite sight is the Eiffel Tower. The first time I saw it was when I was on a coach trip that basically drove us from the ferry at Calais down a motorway, round Paris and back to catch a late night ferry back. We weren’t there for long but I remember walking round the corner from the Trocadero & having my breath taken away.
I have seen it many times since that first occasion but my reaction is always the same – no breath and tears. (The Red Arrows do that to me too but that’s another post!)
However there is one down side to this wonderful surprise. Hubby is insisting that I go up the thing. I’ve got half way before but never to the top. I will make sure that I have organised our life insurance before we go. You can never be too careful!
I promise to make sure that there are photos to mark the occasion. In the meantime Au revoir! This is a sponsored post for which I received compensation.
