Weekly Photo Challenge – Waiting
This is a the station at Corfe Castle in Dorset. It runs a steam train to Swanage which is a restored line that just takes you back to those childhood memories of smoke and train whistles!
Supporting you with Listening Ear, useful blogs and general silliness!

Nice take – I must pay a visit sometime 🙂
love journeys such as these
nice and waiting all alone!
Yep! No wonder why I hate taking the train 🙂
I’ve waited on that seat too! Good entry for the challenge.
I have this romantic notion about trains. We don’t have may here.
Ah how i love Dorset!
This looks so fun! How is your weather right now?
The photo suits the theme perfectly. Last year I was always rushing and literally running to catch the train to London. The winter season makes me so lazy to get out of bed so early.

Perfect for this week’s photo challenge. Mine is waiting for a bus, so we’re on the same page! Oh, public transportation how I loathe thee.
Trains and snow – and I love the picture of the snowy gardens above as well. I suddeny feel really wintery even though the sun is shining ant it’s going to be 17 degrees today in Jerusalem.
I was in Japan a couple of months ago, where trainspotting is a popular hobby. Your train can be pulling out of a remote station and someone will lean out over the track behind the last car and snap a photo of it (they always take the picture from behind, recording the train’s number there). In your picture, I can imagine a camera lurking just out of sight, waiting for a train to go by.
I thought that this snow was the sign of a virus.
Waiting to go back in time. 🙂
True waiting lane Nice shot 🙂
Julia, love the the station shot and your header, both of which bring back so many memories . . . happy waiting!
Excellent photo. Thanks for sharing. http://wp.me/pdJ7S-rw
I also love trains but did not have a good photo. I like the way the person is “waiting”
I love trains!
I like this picture a lot. I also like that I currently have it snow on WordPress which makes it look like there is a little snow flurry while you wait for the train. What can I say, little things amuse me. 😉
It’s a great addition to WordPress at this time of year! The photo on the header is my garden last year. Still very mild here!
