Weekly Photo Challenge – Simple!
From a distance, this is just a large ball of stone – simple. When you get closer though you can see that it is a globe with all sorts of markings on it – places, distances, longitudes, oceans and latitudes. The ‘simple’ stone ball can be seen on the Durlston Country Park walk in Dorset.

I think I’ve seen this on telly, love Dorset and must start going inland a bit instead of Lyme, Charmouth and Abbotsbury.
Well, I’ve certainly seen a lot worse in the sculpturing department in public places, especially in the USA. Dorset sounds English, is it? At least, this sculpture, if that’s how it’s classified, is attractive and educational both. Kudos for both the artist and the parks department.
