Just thinking about…..Trees!
I have decided that trees have got it right! They play nicely together. Doesn’t matter if they are the same type, size or colour. They can be deciduous, coniferous, exotic or just plain standard.
They just do what they were meant to do – give shelter, provide materials and give us something wonderful to look at. I think we should take a leaf (excuse the pun) out of their books!
Lovely post, Julia!
Yes, trees are amazing — but modestly, they don’t blow their own horns, or toot their own trumpets, just wait quietly for their due admiration.
We could learn a lot from the trees 🙂
I was fine until I got to the kangas – then I was jealous! Sound divine Ross!
A joy of mine is walking through the bushland in national parks and a nature reserve around my town. Being out in the open with the sound of a breeze passing through the leaves of trees while I hear the song of birds and the thud, thud as startled kangaroos bound away is refreshing to both body and soul.
Where is this? The different shapes, heights, and colors are fantastic! Would like to have a smaller version of this garden,Julia.
It’s a wonderful place called Stourhead in Wiltshire. It is owned by the National Trust & is one of those place whatever the weather, it is glorious!
A tree is a terrific symbol if we look at it from our human perspective. A tree gives us fruit, shelter, shade from the sun. A tree also turns our exhales into air we can breath. But trees also battle for sunlight and land. Don’t let their beauty and benefit to us fool you…they are here for a reason and have fought millions of years for their existence.
Oooo! You make them sound like possible enemies. I hope we can live in peace together. Great to see you here!
I so agree …. such a beautiful view of trees there, I could sit for hours!
They are pretty majestic aren’t they. Sit as long as you want!
I think the thing I miss the most living in Israel, is the trees. Of course we have trees – but somehow not so majestic.
I would really miss them I think! Thank you for stopping by today!
