A plea from Send My Friend to School
Send My Friend to School hopes to be able to build on the recent enthusiasm of young people to get them mobilised to send clear messages about THEIR education.
The promise
World leaders have promised every child in the world a quality education. But a key piece of the puzzle is missing – the money to pay for this education – leaving the global picture with 263 million children missing out on school, and many more in school not learning.
Now is the time to act to solve this crisis. We have a window of opportunity – 2017 is the year that world leaders can translate their words into action and fund education for all.

The 2017 Send My Friend to School campaign hopes to show world leaders the missing piece to the education puzzle.
Education is powerful and transformative. For individual children, but also for whole communities, countries and the world. It can provide stability to children who are displaced, open up paths out of poverty, reduce the likelihood of war and conflict, and contribute to a healthy planet. It is essential that world leaders invest in the power of education.
The power of young people coming together in chorus across the globe is an unstoppable force. Across the UK, thousands of schools will be taking part in Send My Friend to School campaign in 2017 to call on the UK government to increase their investment in the power of education.
