Last Week I Learnt That…#64
- A few ounces can be felt. I had another cuddle with my gorgeous grand daughter again. She has only put on a few ounces but you could tell the difference. Her mum is not looking forward to her growing and I can understand that. Just enjoy the time while it is here.
- A 5 minute job in the garden can take an hour. I’ve been putting off cutting back the sticks in the garden. They are the branches of the bushes we have which did have leaves on but by the time I got out there, they were just sticks. It didn’t take me long to cut them back ready for the new growth in the Spring but I was out there for at least an hour. Why? Well I had to cut up the sticks I had cut off in order to get them into the bag for recycling!
- Small cakes can be really, really delicious! I went to a conference and as it was in the afternoon into early evening, they served tea and cakes. They were finger sized but Soooo lovely that you just had to go back for another. They didn’t provide plates – I wonder why?
- It is refreshing to see others excited by your projects. As you know if you have been around this blog for a while I am Chair of a Management Committee of a Pupil Referral Unit. Things are quite exciting for us at the moment as the Government has made lots of changes in the way we can now work. One such change is to give us our own budget. Whilst that will give us some autonomy, for a group of people who have never had to think about such things, it is scary. We met with 2 chaps this week who are going to help and they were really excited to be getting involved in our work. Phew! We can tick that box then!
So, that was my week. How was yours?
