Empowering Early Years Education

The Early Years workforce is experiencing several challenges, including practitioner wellbeing concerns, staff recruitment, and retention as well as a lack of funding across the sector. Join a panel of experts including names such as June O’Sullivan, MBE, and Purnima Tanuku, OBE as they identify what opportunities there are to redefine the future of childcare.
Industry-leading educational supplier, TTS (part of RM Resources), is collaborating with five established experts in the early years sector to discuss what changes are needed to overcome the challenges and pressures facing early years practitioners.
The free webinar, named Empowering Early Years Education, goes live on Thursday 18th August at 7:30 pm BST, offering the opportunity for early years’ managers, practitioners and childminders to watch the webinar, interact with other viewers and ask questions that will be answered in follow-up content.
The expert panel includes:
– Purnima Tanuku, OBE, Chief Executive, National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA)
– Kate Moxley, Consultant, Trainer, and Speaker specialising in wellbeing and mental health
– June O’Sullivan, MBE, CEO of the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF)
– Jamel Carly Campbell, Early Years Educator, Consultant and Children’s Author
– Hosted by Alistair Bryce-Clegg, Early Years Consultant
June O’Sullivan, MBE, who is a regular media commentator on all things Early Years, Social Business, and Child Poverty, explains: “Although we are unable to solve the challenges immediately, we can use this time to look more closely at the needs of our early years workforce.
“By doing this, we will notice there are themes to some of the needs of this generation that are important for us to understand and work together on as a sector.”
Early Years expert and webinar host, Alistair Bryce-Clegg, adds: “Throughout this webinar, we will be talking about where we are as a sector, but also about how we can really empower ourselves as practitioners to make a difference. It’s going to be an insightful and empowering session, and we can’t wait to bring this to a wider audience.”
The exclusive content shared within this webinar will be available on the TTS World of Education platform; a space for educators and practitioners across the globe to enjoy unique learning materials, lesson plans, exclusive content, and insights from industry experts.
This is the third webinar in the TTS Talking series, which has previously covered topics including the impact of the pandemic on child development and the importance of STEAM learning, which featured astronaut Tim Peake.
