100WCGU – Week#172

Thank you so much for the response to last week’s 100WCGU appeal for you to be spotlighted. I will be in touch with more details but there is still time to be considered so do get in touch!
Meet the author:
Our first spotlight falls on Sheila Good who writes over at Cow pasture Chronicles.
I am 61 y/o; I retired from nursing turned writer. I published my first article in 1989, in professional nurses journal on organ tissue. It wasn’t until the sudden loss of my very best friend, that I began writing in earnet and I started my first blog, Friendship of a Lifetime as a way to cope. You can find it the top tap of my current blog, Cow pasture Chronicles. I must warn you, however, those posts have never been editied. I was writing from a place of raw hurt and loss.I grew up in a small southern town at the base of the blue ridge mountains with four sisters and one brother. I have 5 children, three from a blended family 8 grandchildren. and a beloved Bichon Frisé. When I’m not reading or writing, I enjoy movies, and time at the lake.I enjoy writing, love writing dark, crime fiction, but the novel I’m working on now is women’s fiction inspired by true events. I’ve had some things published, but not as much as I would like (true for most writers). Do check out my About Page
Do pop over and visit Sheila’s blog and of course leave some comments on her writing!
This week’s prompt:
As we are approaching Halloween, let’s get gory! The prompt is:
…the howling dog, the moon and the creaking boards made for …
As usual, just an additional 100 words please.

Love Sheila’s blog.
Lovely to ‘meet’ Sheila, good choice of dog, we have 2 Bichon Frisés!
Not heard of them before!
The best dogs in the world. We also had two but lost one just over a year ago. Nice to meet use as well.
