100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups – Week #6


As promised, a little explanation of last week’s picture prompt. It was a sculpture by Antony Gormely who is probably best known for his ‘Angel of the North’( see my ‘Northern Angel’)  masterpiece which towers over the A1 near Newcastle. His passion is for steel and the naked body. He has also created a small army of naked figures around the country.
The piece for the prompt called ‘Close V’ was shown as part of an amazing exhibition in Gloucester Cathedral called ‘Crucible’. It was a breath taking experience which I wrote about HERE.
We had some really imaginative pieces last week, some sombre and some really hilarious. If you did not see them all, they can be found here WEEK #5
For this week we go back to a simple word prompt which has resonance in my recent holiday.
The prompt is …the sun shone but….
