100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups – Week#115
Well the old year is nearly at an end. I do hope 2013 brought you good health and happiness.
The first prompt for 2014 is:
…the path ahead …
For those who are new visitors, you have 100 words to add to this prompt (making 103 altogether) to produce a creative piece of writing. Pop it on your blog (or get in touch if you need a blog space) and then link it back here using the linky below. Please make sure you put a link to this post so that others can find us and make sure your piece of writing is suitable for a PG certificate.
If you are completely muddle do read ‘What is 100WCGU?’ or get in touch either on Twitter (@jfb57) or in the comments below.
The link will close on Sunday 5th January.
Click here to enter your link and view this Linky Tools list and I will transfer them to this page as soon as possible.

‘The path ahead is blocked’ the voice was sharp and sinuous in Vlad’s mind. It was still startling when Ing spoke to him like this, but somewhat comforting. Ing was singular and focused and it was unsurprising he was first to give account of what lay ahead. The rest of the swarm translated their thoughts seconds later and a timbre of agreement pealed through Vlad’s mind in rapid sequence. Vlad’s staggered slightly as he struggled to contain the cacophony of information. Most of the swarm projected images, none spoke as succinctly as Ing had but all gave a softened version of his assertive message. The way forward was barred….

The path ahead is a yellow brick road, full of wonder and excitement, new challenges and opportunities, where you can find your own Emerald City and Wizard to grant you your heart’s desire. So put on your magical red shoes, find companions who have heart, courage and intelligence and get started. Plan for the poppy field and never lose hope that you have an angel watching over you. When you are pulled apart, put yourself back together stronger and wiser and remember that not everyone is exactly as they appear. Show kindness along your journey and if all else fails remember to water the wicked witch!
Loved this!
Wizard of Oz inspirational what a fun idea 🙂
Great to see you here but you need to post this on a blog. I have one you can use if you don’t have one so do get in touch.
