From Homework to Home Learning

Following my post  ‘Parent Matters -Homework’ this article from John Spencer really made me think.
In it he poses the idea that homework should be looked at in a completely different way by schools. Do go and read it. If you are a parent, how would you feel about having such activities sent home? If you are a teacher, how would such activities enrich the learning of your class? Would it fit your understanding of ‘Homework’?
