Mother Nature
It is such a gentle phrase ‘Mother Nature’ that it leads you to picture caring, calm, safety that is Motherhood. We mothers are not given to putting our charges into situations where they will be scared, frightened, tested & have to face immense challenges.
OH YEAH?
OH YEAH?
We may think we are in charge but clearly we are not! That gentle, loving supportive MN can become a tyrant that we should not cross!

mama is mad! 😉
I am a sea fan as you know and I do take my babies out into her full force…she is magnificent! Great photos J x
I love your take on the theme. Great photos 🙂
How very true! Great post and great pictures!
More great photos showing the nasty side of mother nature. Loving this blog hop.
I love the bench under water – it’s a beautiful picture, and yet, floods are anything but beautiful!
The second one is breathtaking, amazing shot 🙂 Jen
Love the 2nd one in particular, really does show Mother Nature at her most powerful!
Great photography and ‘gentle’ reminder that MN is quite a moody mare at times eh?
Yep, so true and brill pics
Waterworld here we come! Jesting aside, it’s quite frightening the devastation MN can cause.
So true! Excellent message. Great post.
Thank you! Great to see you here!
Too right, Mother Nature is all things–from sweet and delicate to Destroyer of Worlds. No wonder the ancients worshiped the natural world. Excellent interpretation of the prompt!
Many thanks. Yes, it is amazing how many different ‘roles’ she plays! Thank you for stopping by!
Very appropriate in the current climate. Reminds me of when we lived on the sea front. I do miss watching an angry sea from the warmth – although now I might think a bit more about what we have done to anger Mother N!
YES. This is the stuff, I totally agree. These photos are brilliant. Yes she does some nice stuff, but she can be an epic b*tch when she wants to be.
(It’s a girl thing, right?)
A very powerful woman she is! 😉
Karin
Too right!
I have seen a few photos already this morning which show the angry side to mother nature!
Love the chair in the flood picture! She is an amazing force to be reackoned with isn’t she? Great photos
Many thanks. Yes, we think we are in charge but no!
I love the sea one. I love a wild sea (as long as I don’t have a house on the edge of a cliff!)
Good point! I always feel alive at a grumpy sea!
