Mile-high Morning!
I have just come back from New York so could only manage a brief post for the Gallery this week which sees a welcome return now that Tara is all better. The theme is ‘Morning’.
This was taken out of the aircraft window of our Virgin Atlantic plane (have to say what an excellent service they provide!). Apparently it was 7.15am but my body would have sworn it was actually 4am!
Do make sure you pop to Tara’s place ‘Sticky Fingers’ for some more morning shots!
“it was 7.15am but my body would have sworn it was actually 4am!”
😀 Reminds me of the first time I went to London! I didn’t have the sense to try to sleep during the flight, so I arrived still firmly on Philadelphia time. All the Londoners were hustling to work – it was about 8 a.m. Greenwich time – but my body knew better, and insisted it was really three in the morning. Gah.
Since getting back, we have researched jet lag & it’s a bit more complicated than we thought. We are still suffering a bit nearly a week later!
Great picture, I like many of the others who’ve read this post am very jealous x
Wonderful photo — and how photogenic Virgin makes their planes!
I’m sure it was part of the design brief 🙂
Fantastic photo! We flew to JFK using Virgin Atlantic and the service was amazing, they even upgraded us to first class!
Fab 🙂
Oh Julia I am soooo envious of you! I would LOVE to visit New York! And what a magnificent morning photo! Xx
Thanks Jen. It was quite an experience!
Fabulous photo! I miss New York, have not been for years now.
It was our first trip.
Sort of dreamy…
If only I had been able to sleep!
What a fantastic photo. And I’m totally jealous that you’ve been in New York!
It was some experience!
Your ‘Mile high’ morning title made me a little nervous about what I was about to see!!! LOL Phew! Just an aeroplane, you can look now.
Now as if I’d do that to you!
wow great picture, love it x
Great shot. It feels quiet and peaceful.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Actually, the engines meant no peace but it was great!
What a great shot! I feel like yawning and stretching and starting the day all over again.
The thing was that my body thought it was night time! Weird!
wow Julia – you do travel, can’t wait to hear more about it. you are a very lucky woman
I certainly am!
