Recipes for Nick!
My hubby has not been well. He had flu (yes real flu not the man type!)over New Year & that left him with a bad cough. We ended up going to the Drs because I threatened to kill him it wasn’t clearing. While we were there the Dr took his blood pressure & said that it was high. ‘Take these antibiotics for the cough & come back in a week.’
That we did & when he took the BP again it had gone to 204! After a week we returned & thankfully it had reduced. To be sure of what he was dealing with, the Dr took a full set of bloods. We waited a week & went back for the results. The BP had fallen again (so it must have been stress – we had a wedding – remember!) but his cholesterol was high& ideally we have to reduce saturated fats as much as possible.
So Dear friends I need some help! I have begun to look at labels & I have to say although we are considered to have a healthy life-style, we were both really shocked at where those damn fats hide. I like to cook & have lots of recipes but many of them do not have the break down of saturates etc. I know there are some fab cooks out there with fabulous blogs, so rather than me trawling through books, magazines & the internet, I would like you to send me your suggestions.
We eat anything (sadly!) so there are no real no-nos in the ingredients (apart from as little fat as possible). I’m a reasonable cook but do like the not too complicated & reasonably quick to prepare recipes as there is just no time for all day cooking. We are not sweet dessert people & I don’t make cakes & biscuits so I need you to send me your yummy savouries.
Add them to the linky at the bottom(that way I have them all in one place!) & hopefully you will get more visitors to your blogs as well! This linky will close on 18th but if the response is good, we could make it a regular event! I will try to feature those that we have tried to give you a ‘tried & tested’ review!
Many thanks from us both!

Oh! *puts on thinking cap* my chicken casserole I blogged last year was virtually fat free, very weight watchers friendly and tasty.. it’s an old post though, is that okay?
That would be great! As long as they are yummy! 😉
Good idea Julia! Poor Nick, I hadn’t realised it was still dragghing on. I’ll see what I can do!
Thanks Chris! It was seeing you scrummy bakes that made me think of it. Trouble is I have no idea of fat content in them. We may do a weekly thing so you can go through your cook book!
