Ah! That’s What it Does!

My dear friend Gemma knows she can usually rely on me to support her mad cap ideas! This time she had been tagged so tagged me to do a bit of shuffling. Now I take it as a compliment that she feels confident that I will know about this sort of thing. After all I could be considered an old lady! However, I’m all for learning new things!

The instruction was to ‘shuffle the ipod and share what comes up’. Well my first problem was that I don’t have my own music machine. Hubby was bought one and although he grumbled that it would be a waste of time, he uses it most days and is a big fan. He very generously allowed me to have some of ‘my tunes’ on it too. So, I asked if he knew how to shuffle and surprisingly he did!

Here is what came up and I think you’ll agree it is a very eclectic mix showing my quality and his dodgy choices. I’ll leave you to decide which is which!

We start with Jethro Tull’s Christmas song from 1968

Next up was 1970 ‘Fire and Rain’ from James Taylor.

Then it’s ‘True Love Ways’ not by Buddy Holly but by David Essex (sex on legs!) and Catherine Zeta Jones from the album ‘Music of the Night’. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a clip of those two well known singers (!!!) so you can listen to the original!

More musical theatre for tune number 4 with ‘Castle on a Cloud’ from Les Miserables (or as my ex calls it ‘Les Miserabales’

Finally from his European tour in 1972 we have Irish blues guitarist Rory Gallagher with ‘In Your Town’

A little something for everyone I think you’ll agree! So what’s on your music player?

I’d love to know what these folks listen to:

Chris at Thinly Spread
