A Present for Victoria
On 1st November 2010 my Twitter buddy Victoria Wallop will be leaving these shores not to return until next July! She is taking her husband and three children on the biggest adventure of their lives travelling to lots of exotic places.
For the past few months she has told us about packing for such a trip. We have heard about trips to the dentist (no NHS where they are going) and we know about the number of injections they have had to endure to be protected from the different nasty bugs they might encounter. Read her stories here
Now as departure day dawns I was thinking what I would give her as a leaving present. There is a whole list that I can think of but then I thought that as she is such a popular girl, there will be lots of people out there who would like to do the same.
This is your chance! Write a post about the virtual gift you would give the Wallops, grab the picture & come back & link it here. You will then have the chance to read what everyone else would give! You have till 30th Oct to link up! She can then bookmark the post & always see what she means to us.
Let’s give her a great send off!
WordPress.com does not show all the links here but if you click where it tells you, you can see all the other entries!

Dear Victoria
I do not know you, totally understand your desire to do this amazing trip but, even as a fairly well travelled Mum (with family), I’m totally envious and wish I had the courage (and the finance) to do a 9 month stint. We are a family of great travels but wannabee emigraters (B.C. Canada) where my lovely man has a lovely family that we don’t see often enough!
Maybe we will one day break through the immigration barriers of disability concerns (re. our Son) and in the meantime will continue to travel there and other many fabulous places and write about them (which may hit Twitter before it goes to page).
For now I wish you the safest and most exciting of travels, with many encounters that have you rising to the challenge and feeling proud and amazed you took them and are able to tell the tale and many, many years thereafter of writing and re-calling them to friends and family and hopefully the success of producing your own travel book (it’s a great story already!).
Best Wishes, Lynne xXx
Thank you so much for joining in.Victoria is such a special lady!

Fabulous idea and I am embarrassed to say I must have been living under a twitter rock not to have known this, though I did see some tweets recently that had me wondering. I, um *coughs* thought she might be having a baby. @vwallop, sorry about that, will go apologise profusely!! Jen
No worries – at least you know now!
What a lovely idea Julia – I’ve got one or two ideas for virtual gifts…she couldn’t fit another ‘real’ thing in that backpack of hers… xx
So I see from her list! amazing!
