Where is this?
I love the Bristol based initiative of ‘playing out’ and am very pleased that there is a playing out around the corner from me. My childhood was one where we played in the street, I knew my neighbours and mixed with a range of children. I’m sad that playing out is lost and the only way to revive it, is signs and people and high vis and actually blocking the cars. My preference would be that cars drive slower in residential areas with the expectation that children ARE playing out.
Cars on for access, I suppose to homes when they live in the road. They would be extra careful. I think it is a great idea, but needs some sort of monitoring, apity. But this is the society we live in! Well spotted!

I think it’s a great idea. I know some streets where they get agreement to clear the cars and cordon it off on Sunday afternoon’s. Everyone thinks it’s stranger danger and laziness that keeps kids inside but I think it’s the fact the roads are glorified car parks!

Hmm. This has me scratching my head. The sign is unclear in meaning. Yes?
Not really. The confusion is that cars are still allowed
