A Friday Smile!
As an ex smoker, I do understand the plight of those still attached to the dreaded weed. I did think the number of smokers around would plummet after a British winter when they had to go outside for their fix. Certainly, establishments have been very creative about providing a space to those who have to light up at regular intervals.
This brought a smile when I saw it during our walk along Lexington Ave in New York.
In my mind I could see a picture of all the smokers together huddled around the pole. It brought to mind those days, centuries ago, when we girls would congregate around our handbags at dances!!
I am a leper lol….still smoking, and always on the look out for a smoking area. Wish we had poles like that here lol

It must feel like you have been abandoned. I’m quite impressed at the unpleasant situations you will put up with for a smoke though
Oh I know, it’s so sad really lol

Our office building has something similar. Really gross when it catches fire, which it seems to do with great regularity. (Also ex-smoker, 4 years free).
That would be interesting – a smoking pole on fire!
We have these little, tank-like contraptions on the boardwalk and, boy, are they nasty-smelling to be near! (I’m also an ex-smoker 24 years smoke free!)
It is the smell that gets to you isn’t it?
