It is not until you are retired that you realise this was an aspect of your life that needed early planning. You do need to start saving if you want to make sure your later years, which hopefully will be many, will have the funds to support them!
If you are retired, when did you start planning it?
Hi, I had to retire early due to ill health at 59. Thankfully, I have saved towards a pension since I was 18, so I am ok. However, I didn’t think it was such a good idea when I was in my 20’s and I was paying into my pot every week from my wages.

It is really hard isn’t it – sending that message that starting early helps later. Not sure I know the answer! Great to see you here.
I think another problem nowadays is that there are neither the employers or the pension schemes available that there were when I was working. I do wonder what will happen in the future, the retirement age will probably be a lot higher than 65.
Those schemes were the lifeline for many Trev.
