Shame about the Name!
I make no apology for showing this magnificent photograph again. It was taken by my very clever photographer husband and still takes my breath away.
It is ideal for this week’s Alphbe – Thursday letter of ‘D’ because it is a Dragonfly.
How can something so beautiful, share the names of two creatures known for their ugliness!
Pop over to Jenny Matlock’s blog to see some more ‘D’ posts!
They had a dragonfly walk at an arboretum here next weekend. In late spring here in Arizona we get a big ‘migration’ of them. We had planned on taking our granddaughters, but got too busy. Your beautiful post made me wsh we had been able to carve out the time!
Sorry you lost your comments!
And thank you for linking.
A+
What an amazing shot! I love it.
Actually, I like their wings the best. Our little niece’s nursery was decorated with dragonflies and when she was born, I drew her a dragonfly with her name. Great photo :o)
Blessings & Aloha!
I’m so thankful that Blogger is up and running again! Please stop by if you get a chance…
What an amazing photo! Wow!
Very talented!
Oh Julia – I love DRAGONS – nothing bad about that word… do agree though about flies – must be the huge eyes!
FABULOUS photo! 🙂
The picture is beautiful, but I am not that keen on insects in general.
You’re right. That shot is beautiful!
=)
I have to disagree with you about dragons being ugly–I thought Puff was cute!! Great photo!
WOW! That is one amazing macro shot…you can even see all the detail in its wings.
