Baby Bauble!
Tara has gone all gooey with tradition and has set us Christmas of Yesteryear for the Gallery this week and over at Jenny Matlock’s we’re in the festive season too!
I am sure there will be lots of photos showing fashion through the ages as well as children, family and presents. My entry goes back a LONG way. It is a bauble that was on my first Christmas tree. I’m not sure how it has survived 59 years but here it is. Hopefully, it will be around for a few more yet!
May I take this opportunity to send all the visitors to Julia’s Place every good wish for the festive season. I do hope you will visit again in the New Year and let’s hope we can share lots of peace, fun and happiness!
Great blog 🙂
This special ornament will one day be a family heirloom! Precious. Hope your holidays are precious, too.
That one really brings back memories!
Merry Christmas!!
=)
Love it! We pulled out a few that have been in our family for a few years too…so fun. Ilove the memories that go with it. Merry Christmas!
I remember this ornament from my childhood!!! If you go to my blog and look at the first photo in the right sidebar, you will see a decoration that I made over 40 years ago!!
That is a very pretty ornament – a real Christmas treasure.
Wow, that’s amazing, what a gorgeous thing to have. I hope it still has many, many more Christmas trees to adorn!
I have some like this as well, very old and precious. I have not displayed them ever since we moved and have all hard wood floors where if one falls it immediately shatters. It’s so nice to have these family ornaments to look back on each year and remember Christmas past.
What a pretty ornament! I am so glad it has made it through the years!
Likewise, all good wishes and happy thoughts to you and yours, Julia!
How fantastic to have such a special decoration still – someone must have taken a lot of care of it to make sure it survived!
Merry Christmas to you – I hope you and your family have a lovely one! X
59 years!!!! Wow, that’s really pretty!
Thank you. They don’t make them like that anymore!
Gosh that’s really special isn’t it. I have old family xmas decorations that i treasure, but none that old!

I’m astounded that it has lasted that long but as you can imagine it is very treasured so goes in a special box with lots of tissue!
