13 Challenges – #3/ 2 Gills v Exeter
Another challenge to watch a football match!
Not all games we see are held on warm Saturday afternoons! This one was a cold evening in March at Exeter. Being in Bristol, it was reasonably near for us and certainly a shorter journey than going to see Gillingham at home!
Gillingham have not won at Exeter since 1961!! We set off with high hopes as we are top of the league at the moment but history was not made! It was a 0-0 draw. good for the table but quite boring for those of us freezing on the sidelines!
A few pictures – a ticket, copy of the programme (Exeter are known as the Grecians), fans from Gillingham, pre-match warm-up and watering the pitch!

You’re bonkers, coming to Exeter on a cold night in March to stand in St James Park!
Years ago I’d attended c-o-l-d weather football games but not in years.
Love the round pictures. Nice to see for a change.
Looks like they’re going up this season 🙂
