13 Challenges #13 / 1 Crosswords
This is the first of this challenge which is to complete Telegraph crosswords.
We did finish this one after leaving it and coming back. Clue 14 Across turned out to be of a trick answer!
14 Across – ‘New star getting county backing‘
Living in Bristol we thought it was Avon ( the old county that Bristol is in). That threw us out! We forgot the ‘backing’ part of the clue which indicates that the word needs to be reversed!

I love your challenge list, I love Crosswords, however sadly I’m rubbish at them, only ever manage a few answers. The highly intelligent ones, like in the Telegraph, are beyond me, I find the clues baffling..
