13 Challenges – #11 /2 Swanage
This is Swanage on a blustery ‘spring’ day! It is situated in Dorset and is part of ‘The Jurassic Coast’
It has always been a favourite place for me, being the last day of our holidays each year. In those days, there was a pitch and putt course for those keen golfers as well as lots of bucket and spade stalls.
Now, it has the signs of modernization with a designer water side area with small eateries. The promenade though still looks like I remember back 50 years ago!
This is the second in the series of visits to the seaside, which is part of ’13 Challenges’. Do look at the tab at the top to find out all about it!

Ah Swanage, spent a week there for my primary school trip way, way back in time!! Happy memories, hope they don’t modernise it too much!
So beautiful. I have never seen water quite that shade of silvery-gray. Ours is always dark green.
If I’ve ever been to Swanage I must have been very young. I’d better go soon while it is unspoilt.
Appears quaint. Hope it doesn’t get too modernized. Same as you?
