Christmas Day? Pah! -100 WCGU – Week#178
We are at that in-between time of the Christmas festivities. You know that time when you are probably full, fed up with the decorations and don’t want to face another sprout or egg nog. However there is still another festivity to go through so you can’t really pack it all away and get the house ship shape.
I love the build up to Christmas and would probably put Christmas Eve as one of my favourite days of the year. I remember as a girl really liking Boxing Day too. I think it was all to do with the bubble and squeak made from the left over vegetables that we had, that changed colour when I put pickled cabbage on my plate!
Now that I’m ‘all growed up’ things are a little different although Christmas Eve is still a great day. I still feel the expectation of the season and often that brings a stress that is uncomfortable. Not sure where it has come from and it is certainly not anything to do with hubby although he does like it to be a military operation even though it is only the two of us!
Anyway, we need to get going on 100WCGU now that we have had a week off. You Dear Reader need to get those writing muscles flexed. As is often the case, the prompt is linked to the present and it is
… the crumpled paper and tinsel meant…
You have 100 words to add to these 6. The link will close on Sunday 3rd January.
If you are unsure what this is all about do take a look at ‘What is 100WCGU?’
Don’t just ‘like’, have a go!
