100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups – Week#14
Although the prompt had come from the very hot unseasonal weather in the UK over recent weeks, the entries last week were of all sorts of weather. Some of them were sad, bringing back memories whilst others were comical with characters such as Disney and Father Christmas. Do make sure you have visited them all WEEK#13
Now, for this week’s prompt. I’ve been toying with this for a while but can’t really pin it down. I’ve had a couple of invites to join memes connected to the alphabet. One for instance, gives you a list of items in alphabetical order and you have to put your stance on it. Obviously with 26 letters in the alphabet and you limited to a mere 100 words, we couldn’t do that!
So, the prompt is the do ‘something’ with, involving, pertinent to THE ALPHABET. Now, I know some of you will find this tricky (I have no idea where to start) but others of you will be chomping at the bit to link before midnight! As I say to the children – just do your best!
If you have stumbled here and have no clue about what is going on – this is a weekly challenge where you are given a prompt then have 100 words to create a piece of text to share. Link it below making sure you link the URL of the post not your blog. You must then visit the other entries and leave constructive comments. It is all about improving writing. The link is open until midnight on 17th October.
So…let’s get writing!
Click here to enter your link. It will take you to another page but don’t worry, I will link back here as soon a possible!…

Oh, Julia, I had to share this with you. I was reading the new book by Shel Silverstein called EVERY THING ON IT(awesome to be able to publish a new book even after you’ve been dead for 12 years) and found this poem:
IN MY GARDEN
A bear comes dancing every Friday,
Gathering honey into jars,
Kangaroos leap,
Monkeys nibble on peanuts,
Queen Ruth sips tea under vines
With Xavier’s young zebra.
Wonderful! what a find!
